Morning Star is one of 106 host sites throughout Charlotte which open their facilities to provide shelter and food for homeless people during the winter months, December 1 – March 31.

Each site offers a warm, safe place to sleep, serves three meals (dinner, breakfast and bag lunch) and then returns guests the following morning to uptown Charlotte.

We host our neighbors overnight several times a month on Thursdays. Assistance is needed with setting up the FLC, preparing dinner for our neighbors, cleaning up after dinner, hosting overnight, preparing bagged lunches for our neighbors, making desserts, preparing breakfast, and cleaning up the FLC afterwards.
