Centering Prayer is a method of praying in the Christians faith tradition that is being rediscovered after many years of existing primarily in monasteries. It is “praying in silence without words” so we can focus on ‘listening’ rather than talking. It is also called the “prayer of consent” because it is our INTENT and DESIRE to CONSENT to be more open and aware of the presence and action of God in our lives.
