Centering Prayer is a method of praying in the Christians faith tradition that is being rediscovered after many years of existing primarily in monasteries. It is “praying in silence without words” so we can focus on ‘listening’ rather than talking. It is also called the “prayer of consent” because it is our INTENT and DESIRE to CONSENT to be more open and aware of the presence and action of God in our lives.
Want to learn about this ancient from of Christian prayer? Even if you weren't able to join our Centering Prayer Event, you are very much welcome to join us on Tuesday mornings at 9:30am to learn more about and practice Centering Prayer. We meet in the Administration Hall conference room. No experience necessary and you don't need to bring a thing.
