of Evangelical Lutheran Church America (WELCA):
As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, We commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.
Morning Star has three WELCA circles. They are Faith, Ruth and Circle of Friends.
All women of Morning Star are encouraged to join a WELCA circle.
The primary task of the WELCA group is to offer the

FAITH
CIRCLE:
Faith Circle meet on Saturday mornings for
fellowship and service.
RUTH CIRCLE:
The Ruth Circle faithfully serves,
learns and lives together as sisters in Christ. They meet during the
week on the 2nd Wednesday.
FRIENDS:
Circle of Friends
meets each month for fellowship, support, faith formation and more. Come and
join this fun group as they minister to each other in the midst of life.
DAILY PRAYER:Come, Holy Spirit.
Come, Divine Energy.
Come, Mother of Creativity.
Come, Source of Life...Enter, surround, uplift, empower me this day.
Open my eyes, my ears, my heart, my pores to the presence of holiness
in my everyday world.
Fill me with light, that it may shine from every broken place, turning it into a source of healing.
Holy Mystery, grant me the wisdom to know that there will always be more questions than answers, that the spiritual path is the adventure of living with the questions. As I embark upon this new day, as I take the first step of living it, fill me with reverence for every life I encounter, gratitude for every experience, and wonder for the reality that this life is a precious gift.
