Lutheran Men in Mission
All Men of Morning Star are member of Lutheran Men in Mission
(LMM):
Those dues paying members are charter members.
The group meets on scheduled Saturdays for an 8:30 AM breakfast meeting.
LMM loan and gift fund which supplies low interest loans to finance Lutheran congregation building efforts in North Carolina.
All Men of the church are encouraged to participate in as many of these activities as possible
The primary task of the LMM group is to offer the Men of the church opportunities to participate in service projects:
FELLOWSHIP: Annual outings including Golf, Regional
& State meetings.
The infamous annual Shrimp and Oyster Stew Dinner each fall.
Many events to gather and share with the "MEN" as we do God's work.
MEN'S
SHELTER:
The Men serve dinner the third Monday of each month at The Men’s Shelter of Charlotte
providing supplies and clothing. .
OUTREACH:
Through member dues and contributions, the
LMM support many important outreach missions such as stoves for widow homes
in Guatemala, Kairos Prison Ministry, Lutheran Family Services.
HELPING
OTHERS:
Collect furniture for The Crisis Assistance Ministry
Participate in a habitat for humanity home build each year.
Offer assistance to church members in need through the Helping Hands program.
LUTHERIDGE:
Provide support for cabin renewal at Lutheridge each Spring before the
Children arrive for summer programs.
